English 2 Setting up your camera Charge the battery Before using the battery for the first time, fully charge it using the charger that came with your camera. NOTE: Your camera uses a rechargeable HP Photosmart LI40 battery (Q6277A). Do not charge any other battery in the charger. 1. Plug the charger into an electrical outlet, then insert the battery into the charger as shown. Always format new memory cards before first use. Formatting removes all images from the memory card, so make sure to transfer existing images before formatting. 1. NOTE: Transferring a large number of high- resolution images from a memory card to your computer may take up to two hours.
