Chapter 2 Connections :: Connecting the System Follow these seven steps to connect the DVD system. It is recommended that you turn off power on all components (or unplug AC power) while you are connecting the system. Step 1 - Connect TV Composite Video Connect the supplied video cable from the Video Out jack on the back panel of the DVD system to your television’s Video In jack. :: Language Setup The Language category allows you to set your language preferences for On-Screen Display (OSD) Menus, Subtitles, Audio soundtracks and DVD Disc Menus. :: Video Setup The Video category allows you to set the size of your television, and your preferred format for widescreen movies (DVD only). TV Aspect TV Aspect adjusts the aspect ratio of your television (the length divided by the width of the screen). Standard television screens are 4:3, while widescreen televisions are 16:9.
