About Your PCI Adapter Your PCI adapter is installed in a standard PCI slot inside your computer, secured by a metal mounting bracket. After you have completed the hardware and software setup of your PCI adapter, the indicator light visible through the adapter mounting bracket provides feedback about network connectivity and data-transmission speed.
