Upgrading the Cisco 3825 Fan Unit Removing the Fan Unit After you remove the router cover, follow these steps to remove the fan unit. Note Before you begin, read the safety warnings as described in the “Safety Warnings and Guidelines” section on page 2. Step 1 Locate the three fan connectors on the motherboard and remove them by lifting the connector away from the receptacle, as shown in Figure 3.
