3. Important Safety Instructions This manual contains important instructions that should be followed during the installation and maintenance of the UPS and its batteries. Hardwired UPS units are not equipped with an over-current protection device nor an output disconnect for the AC output. Follow the wire size and tightening torque specifications listed on page 13. 3. Always ground the unit to reduce the potential for electrical shock and to help reduce electrical noise. 4.
