ExTENSION CORdS 1. Grounded tools require a three wire extension cord. Double Insulated tools can use either a two or three wire extension cord. 2. As the distance from the supply outlet increases, you must use a heavier gauge extension cord. Using extension cords with inadequately sized wire causes a seri- ous drop in voltage, resulting in loss of power and possible tool damage. (See figure C, next page.) 3. Blades. A 1/4 turn of the Lubricating Unit Knob will provide adequate lubrication for several cuts. 6. Saw blades: The Saw Blades should always be kept clean, sharp, and properly installed in the Twin Cutter Saw. Using dull Saw Blades will place an excessive load on the Saw and increases the danger of kickback. It is recommended to keep extra Saw Blades on hand so sharp Saw Blades are always available. To install the Saw blades: a. Unplug the Twin Cutter Saw from its electrical outlet.
