Before Using the Scanner Safe Operation In order to ensure safe operation, be certain to read the cautions described below. Installation Location The performance of this scanner is affected by the environment in which it is installed. Power • Connect only to a power outlet of the rated voltage and power supply frequency. Removing the Protective Packing Materials Remove all of the protective packing materials before using the scanner. 1 Remove the protective tape (indicated by the ) from the scanner. ▼ 2 Remove the protective sheet between the Document Feed Tray and the scanner. 3 Open the Document Feed Tray.
