TANDBERG Videoconferencing System W.A.V.E. II Camera The Main Camera is mounted on top of the monitor. The Main Camera includes a high quality color camera with a fast pan/tilt/zoom action. TANDBERG Videoconferencing System Table microphone The high quality table microphone is specially designed to be used on a table during a video conference. The ideal location for the microphone is on a flat surface at least 2m (6.5 ft) from the front of the system. The microphone cable should always point towards the system. Never install telephone jacks in wet locations unless the jack is specifically designed for wet locations. Installation TANDBERG Videoconferencing System Place the monitor on top of the cabinet/top plate and ensure it is stable. You may fasten the monitor to the cabinet using the securing kit. Take the camera and remove the plastic backing from the double sided tape-pads on the base of the unit. Place the camera centrally, on top of the monitor close to the front. If the system has two monitors, place the camera on the left monitor (where menus and incoming picture will be displayed). IMPORTANT

TANDBERG Videoconferencing System Installation Connecting cables All cables needed in standard configuration are connected to the codec. Connect these cables to the other parts of the system: 1. Power cable Connect the system power cable and monitor power cable to an electrical distribution socket. 2. Monitor cables Connect the S-video cable to the input on your monitor (see drawing). For Scart-monitors, use the Scart-adapter. 3. Microphone cable 1 Connect the microphone cable to the microphone.

Your main number will be the number associated with the socket to which ISDN cable number 1 is connected. THE SYSTEM DOES NOT HAVE A BUILT-IN NETWORK TERMINATOR. Getting started TANDBERG Videoconferencing System Getting started System start-up Your system should be in standby mode. When in standby mode, pressing any key or picking up the remote control will wake up the system. An incoming call will also wake up the system. If the system does not respond, make sure the system is switched on by using the On/Off switch located at the rear of the Codec (see figure below).
