INSTALLING THE BLADE/BLADE HOLDER TO FAN MOTOR PREPARATION Step 8. To reach the blade holder mounting holes in the fan motor the dummy switch housing must be removed. 9 Take out the two 5-32 X /32” screws secur- ing the dummy switch housing and remove. Set the two (2) screws aside for the mo- ment, they will be used in Step 12 to install the switch housing after the blades are in- stalled. Then attach the ceiling fan wires to the light fixture wires by placing the bare ends of the wires together and securing with a wire nut.
