■ Never push objects of any kind into the telephone through openings or slots. Never spill liquid of any kind on the telephone. ■ Do not use the telephone near a gas leak. If you suspect a gas leak, report it immediately, but use a telephone away from the area in question. The telephone’s electrical contacts could generate a tiny spark. While unlikely, it is possible that the spark could ignite heavy concentrations of gas. ■ To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the telephone.

Your MLX-10 Telephone Dedicated Feature Buttons Eight imprinted (dedicated) feature buttons, are located in the lower left corner of the phone. These buttons are programmed for the features you use most often. Four of the buttons have lights next to them to show their on/off status. The Feature, HFAI, and Speaker lights are green. Your MLX-10 Telephone Line Buttons There are ten line buttons—two columns of five each—in the center of the phone. Use these buttons to make and receive inside calls (calls to and from other extensions) and outside calls. Two or more line buttons are labeled either ICOM (Intercom) or SA (System Access).
