I. Lighting Instructions (IPI) The IPI system may be operated with two D-cell batteries. When using batteries, unplug the transformer. To prolong battery life, remove them when using the transformer. After Fireplace is Lit Initial Break-in Procedure • The fi replace should be run three to four hours continu- ously on high. • Turn the fi replace off and allow it to completely cool. • Remove fi xed glass assembly. See Section 11.G. • Clean fi xed glass assembly. See Section 3. • Replace the fi xed glass assembly and run continuously on high an additional 12 hours.
