CHAPTER 2 GETTING STARTED 2.1 FRONT PANEL The front panel consists of a 20-key keypad and a LCD display which includes three lines of information and various banners. CHAPTER 3 BASIC OPERATION 3.1 POWER ON After you turn your GPS 50 on, it will conduct a series of self tests and display the following notices: “VER x.xx”, “COPYRIGHT”, “1991-1992”, and “GARMIN”.
