Regular Maintenance SERVICING THE MOWER BLADES Blades should be sharp and free of nicks and dents. If not, sharpen blades as described in following steps. To remove blade for sharpening, use a 1” wrench on the flats of the spindle shaft while removing the blade mounting bolt with a 15/16” wrench (Figure 7). Use a file to sharpen blade to fine edge.
