EQUIPMENT SETUP AND ADJUSTMENTS 1. Uncrate mower 2. Cut the plastic wire ties holding the operator presence levers down. 3. Check tire pressure in all four tires. (22 PSI in all tires) 4. MOTION CONTROL ADJUSTMENT 1. This adjustment must be made with the drive wheels rotating. Raise rear of the unit and block it up so the wheels are free to rotate. CAUTION: keep hands, feet and clothing away from rotating tires. 2. With the ground speed lever in neutral or stop position, start the engine. 3. The thumb latches should be unlocked. 4. Turn the adjusting nut the proper direction until the wheel stops rotating. This is your neutral position, repeat on the other side. (See Figure 2.) 5

REVERSE SPRING DETENT ADJUSTMENT 1. To check if your reverse spring detent adjustment is set right. Make sure your ground speed lever is pulled back to the neutral position. Release the thumb latchs(both sides) and pull up on the control levers at the same time. Then release the levers, it should return to neutral. MOWER DECK LEVELING: 1. Position mower on a flat surface and stop engine. 2. Check the tire pressure of all four tires. Inflation should be 22 psi. 3.
