Recording Functions 18 Note: The meters display a range of -20 dB to +9 dB. If the meters exceed the normal limit momentarily, this is usually perfectly acceptable. Cassette tape is reasonably forgiving of transients – and human hearing has difficulty detecting the minor distortion that results.
