9 Freeze Protection in Solar Only mode The SunTouch freeze protection function is active once the optional air sensor is installed and enabled (see page 8). Freeze protection is enabled whenever the outside temperature is 36º F or lower. When freezing conditions are detected by the air sensor the filter pump will be switched on and water will circulate continuously through the system.
