Foreign Matter on the Low-Pass Filter Nikon takes every possible precaution to pre vent foreign matter from com ing into con tact with the low-pass fi lter during production and ship ping. Introduction—First Steps First Steps Attaching a Lens Care should be taken to prevent dust from entering the camera when the lens is removed. Turn the camera off and remove the body 1 cap. Remove the rear lens cap from the lens. Keep ing the mounting index on the lens 2aligned with the mounting index on the cam era body, position the lens in the cam- era’s bayonet mount.
