Battery operation using alkaline batteries 1. Remove the battery cover on the rear of the unit by sliding the catch. 2. Insert six C size (UM2, LR 14) alkaline batteries into the spaces in the compartment. Ensure all batteries are inserted with the correct polarity as shown inside the battery compartment. 3.
