Preparing the transmitter for use Inserting and changing the battery For powering the transmitter, use a 1.5 V AA size alkaline-manganese battery.  Open the battery compartment by  pushing the two catches  in the direction of the arrows and open the cover .  Insert the battery as shown in the diagram on the left. Connecting the microphone The transmitter is designed for use with Sennheiser lavalier microphones and headmics (-4 versions).
