Audible Indicators When the MS4980 is in operation, it provides audible feedback. These sounds indicate the status of the scanner. Eight settings are available for the tone of the beep (normal, six alternate tones and no tone). Visual Indicators The scanner has blue and white LED indicators on either side of the button on the top of the unit. When the scanner is on, the intensity of the LED and the flashing or stationary activity of the LEDs, indicates the status of the current scan and the diagnostic scanner. Figure 13.
