6 Analog vs. Digital Audio - This refers to the method used to place audio information on the source material and how they are delivered to your receiver from the source. Analog signals exactly represent the sound you will hear through a continuously varying voltage. Audio cassettes are analog recordings and are normally delivered to your receiver over a pair of coaxial audio cables. 15 SURROUND SPEAKER CONNECTIONS Your B&K receiver has two types of surround outputs: speaker outputs and preamplifier RCA outputs. Speaker outputs connect from the receiver directly to the speakers in the system using a five-way binding post. The RCA outputs are used to connect external amplifiers and/or the subwoofer to the system. RCA connections are described on page 17.
