Installation 3.1 Initial Checkout 3.1.1 BUS-POWERED CHECKOUT While the host PC is powered on, connect a USB cable between the host’s USB type A receptacle and the Hub’s type B receptacle (uplink connection). The Hub’s power indicator, bus-powered, and the uplink port LED will turn on. Then the host PC will locate and run the generic hub driver supplied with its operating system. The hub driver will identify the USB Director—4-Port Hub and enable each of its four ports.
