Using the AC adaptor The AC adaptor supplied with this radio is an auto-switch- ing type and will operate from either a 110volt or 230volt AC supply. Insert the adaptor plug into the socket marked DC IN 4.5V on the left side of the radio. Plug the adaptor into a stand- ard 13A mains socket outlet. Whenever the adaptor is used the batteries are automatically disconnected. The mains adaptor should be disconnected from the mains supply when not in use.
