Installing Batteries Your GXT255 radio operates with either 4 AAA Alkaline Batteries or optional NiMH Battery Pack. The belt clip should be removed (Page 16) to ease installation or removal. To install the batteries: 1. With the back of the radio facing you, remove the Battery Cover by sliding it down from the unit. 2. Insert 4 AAA batteries observing the polarity as shown.
