The cooker hood must be kept clean, a build up of grease or fat can be a fire hazard. External Cleaning Wipe the cooker hood frequently with warm soapy water using a mild detergent. When the white paper inside the squares becomes saturated with grease the coloured dots start to run and spread across the paper, indicating that the filter has reached saturation point and must be replaced. Wall Cabinet Fitting Before fitting the cooker hood beneath any type of wall cabinet ensure it is firmly fixed to the wall in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. 1.
