OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS The Safety Brake: 1. The Safety Brake is activated when the back of the operator’s hand pushes against the back of the Protect Plate (17). When activated, the Chain Saw will stop auto- matically, and the On/Off Trigger (25b) should be manually released. Next, pull the Protect Plate (17) back to its initial position in order to restart the Chain Saw. NOTE: If the Protect Plate (17) is not pulled back to its initial position, the Chain Saw will not operate. (See Figure E
