1 Getting Started Install Software First Install the software from the Kodak EasyShare software CD before connecting the camera (or camera dock) to the computer. Failure to do so may cause the software to load incorrectly. See the Quick Start Guide or Installing the Software, page 57. Chapter 1 Loading the Batteries Two AA batteries (non-rechargeable) are included with your camera. 1 Turn the Mode dial to Off. 2 On the bottom of the camera, slide the battery door and lift to open. 3 Insert the AA batteries as shown. Chapter 1 Turning On the Camera Turn the Mode dial from Off to any other position. The ready light blinks green while the camera performs a self-check, then glows green when the camera is ready to take pictures (or videos, if the mode dial is set to ).
