User’s Manual CHAPTER 2: INSTALLING HARD DISK DRIVE If you have purchased a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) with pre-installed Hard Disk Drive (HDD), please skip to Chapter 3. Opening DVRs with pre-installed HDD will void the warranty. To install Hard Disk Drive to the DVR, please follow the instruction below: 1. User’s Manual 3.4 Mouse Operation You can use a mouse instead of the front panel buttons or remote control to navigate the operation of your DVR The mouse is the primary input device for navigating system menus. To use a mouse with the system: 1. Connect a USB mouse to the Top USB MOUSE port on back panel of the system. NOTE: Only the bottom USB port on the back panel is designed for data backup to a USB flash drive. Do not connect a USB flash drive to the top USB port on the rear panel.
