Assembly Never loosen the 3 screws on the right-hand side of the focus column. Focus column ➔  Remove stage plate. Incident-light base  Insert 3 hexagon head screws through the under- side of the baseplate and screw tight in the focus column.  Replace stage plate.  Remove glass stage plate.  Pick up the graticules at the edge so as not to leave fingerprints and slide into the holder from the side.  Put the insert back into the eyepiece and press firmly in place.  Insert the eyepiece into the eyepiece tube and line up the graticule by turning the eyepiece in the eyepiece tube. The measuring process is described in the “Measuring” instructions.
