BRIDGE/ROUTER MODULE 1 Introduction This chapter outlines the features and uses of the AccessBuilder 7000 Bridge/Router Module when installed in the AccessBuilder 7000 Access Concentrator chassis. 1-2 CHAPTER 1: BRIDGE/ROUTER MODULE Typically, the Bridge/Router module is used to interconnect LANs running protocols such as Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) or Novell Internetwork Packet Exchange (IPX). The module offers full LAN-to-LAN connectivity at speeds up to 64 Kilobits per second (Kbps) on each ISDN channel (128 Kbps in total) and up to 2 Megabits per second (Mbps) on the WAN port. The
