EN Getting Started Getting Started… It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3 First, make sure you’ve called your phone com- pany and ordered Caller ID service. You must have Caller ID service in order for your Caller ID unit to function. For the unit to identify call waiting calls, you must also subscribe to call waiting ID service, sometimes known as call waiting deluxe. Announcing Incoming Calls Between the first and second ring, the caller’s telephone number or recorded name will be announced over the Caller ID unit’s speaker. You can set up how you want it to operate by selecting the desired set up options (See Custom Setup Options.) The speaker announcement broadcasts the call-waiting caller’s recorded name or number over the built-in speaker. Others in the house will know that there is a call waiting.
