How to Install the Temperature/Humidity Sensor 1. Choose a location and install the temperature/humidity sensor. Avoid locations in direct sunlight or other locations that may affect the sensor reading, such as near windows, room entrances, air ducts, or other heat sources. How to Connect an Alarm Beacon and Other Optional Devices 1. To install an alarm beacon: – Mount the alarm beacon in a visible position either on the roof of the rack or inside the rack. – Route the alarm beacon cable to the Rack Monitor 200. How to Wire to the Modbus Interface To connect to your building management system, use the Modbus RS-485 interface. The Modbus interface supports 2-wire RS-485, plus ground. In addition, Modbus requires both termination and polarization resistors at the bus master.
