Terminology What is Scanning? Unlike standard AM or FM radio stations, most two-way communications do not transmit continuously. The UBC 245XLT scans the channels you program until it finds an active frequency. Scanning stops on an active frequency and remains on that channel as long as the transmission continues. Charging the Battery Pack Use the AC Adapter/Charger to power the UBC 245XLT from an AC outlet. Use only the supplied AC Adapter (AAD-245U) You can use your scanner while the battery charges.
