1 Introducing the Switch The HP ProCurve 2520G-PoE Switches are multiport switches that can be used to build high-performance switched workgroup networks. These switches are store-and-forward devices that offer low latency for high-speed networking. The 2520G-PoE switches also support Power over Ethernet (PoE) technologies. Introducing the Switch Front of the Switch LEDs On the 2520G-PoE switches, there are three groupings of LEDs: ■ switch status LEDs (Table 1-2) ■ port LEDs (Table 1-3) ■ Port LED Mode indicator LEDs (near the selector button) (Table 1-4) Table 1-2.
