Attaching The Pedestal Stand Note: This system can be used and operated with or without the pedestal stand. If you plan to use this system on a bookshelf, for example, you may find that it is more convenient to use without the pedestal attached. Installing The Back Up Batteries This system includes a battery back up circuit that will maintain the tuner preset station memories, the clock time, and the timer settings in the event of a temporary power interruption. The battery back up system requires three “AA” batteries, not included. Please use a well-known brand of alkaline batteries for longest life and most reliable performance. Remote Control Battery The remote control requires one “button-type” 3-volt lithium battery, included. To extend the life of the original battery we have inserted a small clear plastic spacer tab between the lithium battery and the battery terminal.
