Setting Wireless Properties 12. Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) is implemented in the adapter to prevent unauthorized access. For more secure data transmissions, set encryption to 128-bit or 64-bit. The 128-bit setting gives a higher level of security. The setting must be the same for all clients in your wireless network. (Default: None) To completely configure WEP you must use the Configuration Utility. See “Encryption” on page 29. 13
