Topping up the mill with seasonings • place the mill on a level and clean surface. • hold the mill by the mill housing (1) with one hand. turn the cap (3) in a counter- clockwise direction to remove it from the housing and open the mill seasoning lid (5a/5b). • now top up with pepper/salt, using the appropriate openings. it is also possible to add alternative spices or seasonings for milling if required. note: the mill sea- soning lids (5a+5b) are marked with the letters “p” for pepper a

Hints and tips • always stand the mill upright. do not lay the mill down on its side as it will begin to work if the batteries are in place. • this mill can be used for pepper and salt as well as any other spices or seasonings suit- able for milling. if possible always use the same type of seasoning. if the mill is not working: - check whether the batteries have been inserted correctly and - whether sufficient seasoning has been added to the mill. if the mill is not empty shake it gently
