The AirPods Max have two buttons: the Digital Crown and the Noise Control button. The Digital Crown, similar to the one on the Apple Watch, allows you to control volume, play or pause audio, skip tracks, answer or end phone calls, and activate Siri. The Noise Control button lets you switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode.

To connect AirPods Max, you need to follow these steps:

5. Noise Cancellation and Transparent Mode:
- Press the noise control button on the left earcup to switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode.
- Noise Cancellation helps block out ambient sound, while Transparency Mode lets you hear your surroundings while listening to audio.
6. Smart Case:
- The AirPods Max comes with a Smart Case that helps preserve battery life. When you're not using the headphones, place them in the case to put them into an ultra-low power state, which helps conserve battery.

4. Device controls: If you're listening to audio from another device, like a Mac or Apple TV, you can use the volume controls on that device to adjust the AirPods Max volume.
Remember that you can also set a preferred maximum volume limit for your AirPods Max in the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Go to "Settings" > "Bluetooth," and then tap the "i" icon next to your AirPods Max in the list. From there, you can adjust the maximum volume limit to your preference.
