                        Battery operation 1. Remove the Battery cover on the rear of the unit by pushing the  1 1 catches as shown.  2. Insert four LR20 (D size) batteries into the spaces in the compart- ment. Take care to ensure all batteries are inserted with the correct  polarity as shown inside the battery compartment.                         Using your radio for the first time - DAB Your radio is supplied with mains adaptor 1.	 Place 	 your	 radio	 on	 a	 flat	 surface.                         Using an SD memory card with your radio An SD card can be used in your radio for recording, playing back  previously recorded radio programs, or playing back MP2/MP3/WMA  files	transferred	from	a	PC. Depending on the radio station a 128MB SD card will give typically  2- 4 hours of recording time. If you are using a new SD card ensure  that it is formatted correctly (see page 27) Many different brands and capacities of SD card are available.
