Getting Started Before you start taking digital pictures with your camera, insert the (AA-size Alkaline) batteries. When you use your camera as a video camera for your PC, you won’t need batteries. If you want to take more pictures, first look at the number shown on the LCD panel. This is the number of image shots left. As more pictures are taken, the number decreases. When it reaches zero, that means your digital camera is already full of images. If this happens, download the images into your computer and save them for later use. Camera Options in Record Mode When you have set your camera to Record mode, you can control and change the following settings: ● Image quality settings You can set the image quality setting to either Normal or Fine quality. Normal Quality — This is the acceptable image quality for digital pictures. At Normal quality, you can take a maximum of 120 pictures with the camera. Fine Quality — Captures images at the best possible quality. If you select this option, you can take 60 pictures at the most.

Adjusting the Settings in Record Mode The camera options listed in the previous section allow you to control how you want pictures to be taken and how to manage the pictures in the camera’s memory.
