                                                       Chart 1 shows a network switch with no VLAN.  Any broadcast frames will be transmitted  to all other ports.  For example, and frames broadcast from Port 1 will be sent to Ports 2, 3,  and 4.    Chart 2 shows an example with two VLANs indicated by red and blue.
