1.9 To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug the charger fromthe AC outlet before attempting anymaintenance or cleaning. 4. AC POWER CORD CONNECTION INSTRUCTIONS 4.1 The charger must be groundedto reduce the risk of electric shock. The charger is equipped with an electriccord having an equipment grounding conductor and a grounding plug. 6. DC CONNECTION PRECAUTIONS 6.1 All switches should beset in OFF ( O) positionand the AC cord should be disconnected from the electrical outlet beforeyou connect and disconnect the charger clamps. 9.5 OVERLOAD PROTECTION The charger uses an output circuit breaker and a thermal breakerto prevent overheating and damage to the charger and the vehicle. If after repeated starting attempts, the charger does not indicate any output on its meter, it may be because one ofthe two breakers has opened. 11. BATTERY CHARGING 11.1 Determine battery’s state of charge by followingthe instructions and chart in section 10.
