B Connecting to the Internet 4 PROTECT YOUR NETWORK - CHANGE THE DEFAULT PASSWORDS! Default passwords are commonly shared on the Internet. Protect your information and your network from unauthorized access; change the modem’s default passwords BEFORE connecting to the Internet. Use an Ethernet connection to change the passwords. B Testing Your Internet Connection After changing the default passwords, you are ready to connect to the Internet. 1. Open a browser window. 2. Type in www.motorola.com.
