1 SpectraLink 8000 SVP Server Overview The SpectraLink 8000 SVP Server is an Ethernet LAN device that works with access points (APs) to provide QoS on the wireless LAN. Voice packets to and from the SpectraLink 8000 Wireless Telephones are intercepted by the SVP Server and encapsulated for prioritization as they are routed to and from an IP telephony server. The specifications covered here allow for great flexibility in physical placement of the components within stated guidelines.
