Switching on 1. Place the unit on a flat surface. Plug the mains lead into a wall socket and switch on at the wall socket. Listening to the Radio 1. Switch on your radio by pressing the Radio On button. 1 2. The backlight will change from green to orange. The radio icon and the station frequency will show in the display. Storing stations in memory 1. Tune in the radio to the required station. 2. Press the Memory button. The Memory indicator will flash on the 1 display. 3. Compact discs Use only Digital Audio CDs which have the symbol. Never write on a CD or attach any sticker to the CD. Always hold the CD at the edge and store it in its case after use with the label facing up. Inserting a CD 1. To open the CD compartment, lift the CD door on the edge marked 'Open'. 2. Press the CD onto the spindle and close the CD door. 1 3. CD repeat mode Use this function to repeat a single track or repeat the entire CD. 1. Whilst the CD is playing press the Repeat button once to repeat the current track. Erasing a programme 1. Programmes are erased by pressing the Stop/Off button, or interrupting the mains supply. 1 Setting Alarm Times Your unit has three separate alarms (Alarm 1, Alarm 2 and Alarm 3) that can be set and used independently and can be set to wake you with the radio, the CD player or by a buzzer.
