Connecting 4-3 Setting the SCSI ID The SCSI ID is a unique number assigned to each SCSI device. Therefore, two devices must not have the same ID number. The SCSI ID is independent of the order of physical device connection. Note that SCSI IDs may have been previously assigned to a disk drive, CD-ROM drive, or other built-in devices in the computer. SmartMedia SSFDC cards (like Minolta's Image Memory Card RM-2S and RM-4S) can be used in the CD-10 card drive when used with an adapter, such as the PC Card Adapter CA-1S.
