Heritage Series ADSL Bridge/ Router Introduction 1-1 Chapter 1 Introduction 1.1 Overview This xDSL Router features two broadband technologies such as ADSL and SHDSL. Multi-mode ADSL technology that provides a downstream rate of up to 8Mbps over existing copper wire lines, which is more than 100 times faster than a traditional 56K analog modem. SHDSL technology that provides a symmetric upstream and downstream rate of up to 2.3Mbps over existing copper wire lines.
