Remote Control Functions The receiver uses a computer-based learn routine to learn the remote control buttons. The remote control buttons indicated in all of the instruc- tions in this manual correspond to a Standard Configuration. ➢ Standard Configuration Button The lock function is controlled by pressing on the remote control for one second. Using Your System ➢ Locking Pressing for one second locks the system. (if the door locks are con- nected). The horn honks (if connected) and the parking lights flash once ® to confirm locking of the system. ➢ Panic Mode If you are threatened in or near your vehicle, you can attract attention by trig ger ing the system with your remote control. Press for 1.5 seconds to enter Panic Mode. In Panic Mode, the horn will honk and the parking lights will flash for 30 seconds. When you are ready to drive the vehicle: 1. Insert the ignition key and turn it to the ON (not the START) po sition. 2. Press the brake pedal.
