Confirmation Field Cursor on Cyclic Field The area of the page with light characters and dark background is called the cursor. The cursor may be moved to locations on the page called fields. A field is a group of characters treated as a single unit of information which allow you to enter data. You will encounter four types of fields. Numeric fields accept numbers. For example, you will enter the time in an numeric field. Alphanumeric fields accept numbers as well as letters.
