CHAPTER 1: SAFETY AND GENERAL INFORMATION Deenergizing Safety The UPS contains internal batteries and may present a shock hazard even when disconnected from the branch circuit (mains). Before installing or servicing the equipment, ensure that the system enable switch and input circuit breaker are set to stand-by (OFF), that internal battery modules are removed, that external extended run batteries are disconnected and the branch circuit (mains) is disconnected.
